GoPro Cinematic Video – 5.3K Video Footage
This GoPro cinematic video was filmed in the Austrian Alps in February 2022 using the GoPro Hero 10 Black.
I filmed the video in 5.3K resolution using the GoPro Cinematic Preset as a basis for my camera settings.
The video footage was edited on the iPad Pro using the LumaFusion video editing app.
To watch the video I have included a link to my YouTube channel, (See below).

Here are the settings I used to film the cinematic video.
- Resolution: 5.3K
- Frame Rate: 30 fps

For the majority of the video I filmed using the Linear + Horizon Leveling lens option. The “close up” shots were filmed using a Narrow lens.
The views of the mountains were filmed in Wide lens.
Final Thoughts
Overall I was quite impressed by the Hero 10 in trying to achieve a cinematic style look. Of course the Hero 10 is an action camera so it’s not going to compete with a DSLR in this style of filming.
I hope you enjoy the results of this mini video project. It was a lot of fun to film and edit.
A final note: I have just purchased the new GoPro Hero 11 so I’m looking forward to creating further cinematic videos with the Hero 11.
